Terms of use
The rules for using AviaAstra. Last updated 24 October 2026.
AviaAstra is provided by AeroLumio ("we"). By signing in and using it, you agree to these terms. If you use AviaAstra for an operator, you confirm that the operator allows you to.
1. Advisory only: the pilot in command decides
AviaAstra gives advisory information about the risks of a flight. It does not replace, and must never be used instead of:
- the judgement and responsibility of the pilot in command;
- your operator's Operations Manual, procedures and approvals;
- official weather information (such as IMD and aerodrome METAR and TAF) and official aeronautical information (such as the AIP and NOTAMs);
- the regulations of the DGCA and other authorities.
A "Low" rating does not mean a flight is safe or legal, and AviaAstra does not assess everything that matters to a flight. Its sources of weather, terrain and location data can be wrong, late or unavailable, and AviaAstra says so where it can, but it cannot always know. Always check the information that matters against official sources before flight.
2. Your account
- Access is given by approval and can be removed at any time, for example when you leave your operator.
- Use your own account only. Do not share it, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used it.
- Enter information honestly and accurately; the brief is only as good as what goes into it.
3. What you may not do
- Copy, take apart, reverse-engineer or try to obtain AviaAstra's source code or methods.
- Try to see another company's data, get around sign-in, or test or attack the service's security without our written permission.
- Collect data from AviaAstra automatically, or resell or give access to it.
- Enter data you have no right to share.
4. Your data
Flight information, records and company data belong to you and your operator. You allow us to store and process them to run AviaAstra, and to use them with names and email addresses removed to improve AviaAstra's risk ratings, as described in our Privacy notice.
5. Ours
AviaAstra, its software, methods and design, and the names AeroLumio and AviaAstra, belong to AeroLumio. Using AviaAstra gives you no rights in them beyond using the service under these terms. Weather, terrain, map and location data come from the providers credited in the app, under their own terms.
6. Trial and availability
AviaAstra is in a trial phase. It is provided as it is and as available. Features may change, and there may be interruptions. During the trial it is free unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or cost arising from decisions made, or flights flown, using information from AviaAstra, or from AviaAstra being unavailable or wrong. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
8. Ending access
You can stop using AviaAstra at any time. We may suspend or end access if these terms are broken, or to protect the service or other users. Your company's records stay available to your company.
9. Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have jurisdiction. If we change these terms, we will update the date above and tell users of any important change. Questions: privacy@aerolumio.io.
